TASK 9: Digipack editing

We finished editing the right inside of the CD packaging. It took a while to add a yellow tint in the image but we finally figured out how to do it to the part we wanted. 

TASK 9: Digipack so far..

This is our first draft of the front cover, we are not sure on what image to use therefore we are testing with different images to see which one looks appropriate.

TASK 9: Progression on digipack

This is a draft of the left inside, we have decided to use a sketch effect as this is similar to some of the artists albums in our case studies. 

We tried out several styles for the letter 'X' on InDesign as the 'X' will feature throughout the CD packaging. 

TASK 9: CD Packaging Planning

Today we came up with a draft of our Digipack. We  decided to use studio and location shots also we have decided the colour scheme which is Yellow, Black and White. We used both Ed Sheeran's previous albums to help inspire our Digipack. We have also decided to use the 'X' from multiply. 

We have decided to use Yellow, Black and White for our colour scheme. The yellow circled in red is the shade of yellow we are going to use. We chose this yellow because it matches the yellow of the subway used in the music video.

TASK 8: Research and Planning for CD and Advert (Audience feedback to pitch)

Our group pitched our print product ideas to our class. This was helpful as our class mates are within our target audience. We asked the class that whether we should use location shots or studio shots for the CD packaging and the magazine advert. At first they suggested that studio shots would be better however after explaining our issues with organizing  photo shot the class including our teachers states that maybe it would mot be so unconventional to use location shots for the CD packaging as it is common for our genre. Overall the class generally liked the ideas; they particularly liked that we have decided to have a consistent colour scheme.
